Much of the work of entry-level employees is physically intense. The work includes lifting, pulling and manipulating heavy rods and equipment associated with our drills.
We require all employees to adhere to strict safety and health policies and the use of alcohol and drugs during work hours is strictly forbidden. Our drillers work 12 hour shifts and accommodations are provided by Cobra on-site or at a facility in town near our drills.
As most of the work is outdoors, prospective employees should have an appreciation for the weather here in Northern Ontario. During the winter, it can get extremely cold throughout the season - which requires our drillers to be some of the toughest drillers on the planet.
The summers in Northern Ontario are quite moderate - with high temperatures around the 80's (degrees F) and lows being in the 50's.
Cobra Drilling employs somewhere around 50-65 people and salaries are competitive with others in the business. We offer a bonus system, attractive wages and warm, comfortable accommodations for all of our employees.
